DISTRICT DIRECTORY: Film and sound pros start downtown video "Yellow Pages"

COLUMBIA, 4/18/11  (Beat Byte) --  Award-winning Columbia-based video professional Steve Twitchell and sound editor Amir Ziv -- whose client list includes CNN, ESPN, NBC, ABC, and America's Most Wanted -- have teamed up to create another kind of DVD  -- a District video directory otherwise known as the i-Mage Pages they hope will become a video "Yellow Pages" for businesses in downtown Columbia, aka "The District."

The Main Squeeze Natural Foods Cafe -- so popular it's the first Google hit on the popular term "main squeeze" -- marks the i-Mage Pages premiere appearance.  "It looks like it's going to be very cool," said Main Squeeze owner Leigh Lockhart.

Starting with an amazing stat -- Over 1 Million Served --  a sharp, colorful video walks viewers through Main Squeeze's main fare, from smoothies and juices to wraps and a variety of popular meatless meals.

Ziv and Twitchell created the i-Mage Pages to meet what they see as a significant demand for professionally-produced ads with lively video and audio.   Long the exclusive purview of television, audio-video ads have presented fewer options for cost-conscious clients, especially small businesses on a budget.

With an i-Mage video, businesses receive an on-site production of their own design with a longer shelf live than a television spot, and several distribution avenues.

i-Mage Pages clients can host their professionally-produced videos on their own websites; introduce them via outlets such as this one; and feature them on social media (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, etc.) or general audience sites such as Youtube that tourists, students, visitors, and new residents can access for information about what's hip and hot in the District.

With Addy Awards, Telly Awards, and a client list that reads like a Who's Who of Missouri's best and brightest companies and public agencies, Steve Twitchell Productions has established a long-time reputation as the best in the business of video and film production in Columbia, Missouri.  Teaming with Ziv -- who has recently covered everything from Cardinals Baseball to the ongoing saga of Missourian Dale Helmig, found innocent of murder after 15 years in prison -- was a natural.

"We did the production both video, graphics, soundtrack and scripting," Twitchell told the Heart Beat.  "Amir is going to be the point person who works with clients and coordinates with web folks."
