Like an annoying housefly skittering across the television screen, a spelling error has been adding an ironic punchline to a televised news conference announcing the arrival of interim CPS Superintendent Jim Ritter.
Beneath assurances from school board president Michelle Gadbois that both "confidence and competence" were being restored with Ritter's arrival, "Columbia Pubic Schools" has been scrolling by on Channel 16 since August 13th, missing that all important "L" in a spelling goof worthy of George W. Bush (pardon THAT pun).
